Running parallel with the influx of Millennials is the exodus of the Baby Boomers, who are currently ages 57-75. The Baby Boomers, previously the largest generation with a 75.4 million headcount, are transitioning into the next life-cycle phase—retirement. As of 2010, 40% of the United States workforce is eligible for retirement. Large organizations are suffering a loss of 30% to 40% of their experienced Baby Boomer workforce from 2009 through 2020.
